Part of a visit to Freiburg. With a view of the cathedral and the weekly market, you can enjoy life with a good glass of wine and tapas from Baden.

Especially in CORONA times, the Alte Wache is ideal for relaxing and enjoying a "Viertele", either on the Münsterplatz in front of the historic building or on the upper floor, which can be reached via a wide staircase. You strictly observe the CORONA rules . Self service.

Very nice place in Freiburg directly at the cathedral. Something for everyone. Whether a nice sun spot on the loungers and chairs or in the shade. Nice and good wine selection.

Great atmosphere, nice seating on Münsterplatz. Cold Sofie is a dream, definitely try :)

We did a wine tasting with Alex, he was very knowledgeable and it was extremely entertaining with him. Gladly again!

Very nice place in Freiburg. We only come to drink Cold Sofie. Delicious. Staff friendly. Not cheap, but okay for the location.

We expected big things but were disappointed. When we asked for a free seat and sat down, the waitress no longer came to the table to bring us a map or to explain to us that there are self-conditions in this restaurant. We didn't really feel welcome. The service on the terrace makes us very annoyed. Behind the counter the staff was very friendly and important, the wine tasted great!

Nice place to stay. Drinks overpriced. Bottle prices for 1 "quarter" ... or less. In addition self-service, with the prices quite cheeky. There is so much good wine in Baden - I don't have to drink it there to be convinced.

A little normality is slowly returning. Despite the mask, the wine tastes good and there are small tappas. Outstanding. Beautiful morning

Nice vinotheque with a lot of choice .... now very modern. The rustic seat under the stairs had to make way for the renovation .... a shame!

I would highly recommend this wine store and bar. The staff was very helpful and allowed us to try many of the wines before making our purchase.

Prime location at Münsterplatz, Freiburg. Seating outside gives good views of the Münster and the square. The wine selection offers a wide choice of local and regional wines at very fair prices. It is self-service with friendly staff at the counter. Recommended!

Good wines, but sparking wines sometimes served in white wine glasses. What?! Also, the cigarette smoke is disgusting! How can one enjoy a wine when they have to breathe one second hand smoke?

A city tour in Freiburg and afterwards to the old guard that simply belongs together.

Great selection of local wine and nice to sit outside in the plaza, even if we did have to wade through the occasional cigar smoke.

They have many "badische" wines to choose from. The employees know a lot about those wines. Nice location in the center of Freiburg.

Bad service

A very nice place right next to the Freiburg Münster with a view over the Münsterplatz. Very good wines. Just great to sit there.

Beautiful Wine shop where you can find all the typical Badisch wines. The atmosphere is romantic and waitresses are lovely. You can't miss it.

Super!

Always thought this was a wine bar (and yeah it is) but in the inside it actually is a wine shop. However the outside is right up my alley, full of opportunities to sip some wine and kalte sofies (a wine elderflower slushy) in the afternoon sun. There's always one of the street musicians for entertainment and for those who like oysters they do have a stand for those too sometimes.

Great selction of wine. Nice atmosphere infront of the Münster but not really cheap (around 7€ per glass of wine). Still worth it.

Great selection of local wines by the glass, as "Viertele" or by the bottle. Some interesting red and white wine iced slushies. It's a bit pricey for a self-service bar, but offers a nice and relaxed atmosphere sitting outside right next to the Münster. There is only basic snacks and no meal menu, so don't arrive hungry.

A great place to relax after sightseeing and enjoy some fantastic local wines.
